Dr. Matsushima and Dr. Okada conducted with the conservators and scientists more X-ray radiography on the lead objects, especially bed and chariot, to supplement the work which was conducted in EM in March. This time, we were able to confirm more details about the joining part of the wood which is covered with gold leaf. We also photographed two lead artifacts of textiles by X-ray.
Furthermore, the Japanese Expert Professor Kijima and Ms.Yasuda conducted with Mr.Ahmed Abd-Rabo, the head of the documentation team multi-spectral photography (ultraviolet ray, infrared ray photography, etc.) on lead objects, bed, chariot and wall paintings. A lot of useful information was collected as a result.
